Both the New York City MTA and Washington DC WMATA systems made significant, permanent service changes late in 2025. In NYC, the F-M swap flipped M trains to 63rd St and F trains to 53rd St during the day. In Washington DC, the Silver Line was split between Downtown Largo and New Carrollton, and some Yellow Line trains were extended to Greenbelt.
